Photo Shoot for Petite Mademoiselle

14 Oct

Buongiorno, Firenze! It was time to put on all the cute T-shirts and crash around Florence!

While you may think that T-shirt is just one boring outfit, but it’s actually very easy to go with anything, you can just put on whatever you want, whether to make it casual, sporty, sexy, or cute. IED Firenze collaborated with Petite Mademoiselle to do a photo shooting with the T-Shirts that can express one’s mind and statement, with each different style from the girls’ mix and match.

The weather was sunny and just perfect for photo shoot. Designer Sheila Salvato was also with us the whole time, along with the photographer to help us modeling for the brand. The shooting took place in all over Florence, from Duomo to Ponte Vecchio, from streets to streets. Then we ended up at a fabulous boutique named SPACE, where the owner was kind enough to let us use their clothing to go with the T-Shirt. Not only we were shooting for Petite Mademoiselle, the girls also had fun being their very own stylists.

Here are some of the sneak peaks from the backstage of the whole photo shoot. See how we were having fun with just one simple T-Shirt?

The King of jungle is back!

11 Oct

We may wonder why is that every time where Cavalli puts out his show, the weather is never perfect; let me tell you, it is because we don’t want to be over-heated by the wildness brought out of the jungle by Roberto Cavalli! That’s why despite of the weather condition, the Roberto Cavalli SS11 RTW was held under a big tent at Arco Della Pace (Arch of Peace), connected the great historical landmark, and the success of Roberto Cavalli’s 40 years of business.

As we all know, Cavalli is never about minimalistic, aside from what seems to be the trends for the fashion shows lately, Cavalli remained his very own unique styles-”the mix of elegance and sex-appeal”. With the croc or snake skin print on top of the tiny pants or tiny jacket, Cavalli does not forget to add some lighter colors into his SS11 collection to balanced the tone.

The Cavalli women may find themselves there, seeing all the glamour coming out of the backdrop jungle. Who wouldn’t be amazed how Cavalli can always capture women’s sexiness and softness and turn them into his design?

Pitti Filati 2010 Vintage Selection; RE-defining ‘OLD’ by Diana Ptaszynski

Not all of us are vintage fans, I’ll be the first to admit- but this particular exhibition has re-defined vintage for me- in more ways than one.

Held from July 6 though the 10th at Stazione Leopolda, the fashion conscientious will find some true gems among many treasures.

Designers and stylistas alike specifically visit this exhibition to draw inspiration from these vintage finds.  Some of the most fabulous pieces are not entirely reconstructed, but more so altered through the idea of innovation rather than imitation.  Chanel jewelry dating back from the 60s and 70s in addition to Gucci bags and Louboutins- this place can become any trend setter’s dream.

This vintage selection inhibits 40 different exhibitions- all with a variety of clothing and accessories for both men and women.

Check it out yourself, or if you’re not too keen on a trip to Florence- take a look …
